Man Vintners – South Africa - Chenin Blanc 2006                      €20.90
Tropical fruit, guava and melon aromas, crisp and bold sweet citrus

backed by refreshing acidity and minerality characteristic of the coastal

vineyards. An excellent wine to go with most poultry, fish and salad dishes.

AUSTRALIA
Jamiesons Run – Chardonnay 2006                                         €29.50
The Jamiesons Run Chardonnay is vibrant in colour with lively green hues,

showing aromas of peach, melon and tropical fruit complexed by balanced

oak. The palate offers rich varietal chardonnay flavours, with a creamy

mouthful giving great length and structure to this wine.

Knappstein - Hand picked Riesling 2006                                   €31.50
Knappstein is a wonderful example of Clare Valley Riesling, showing lifted

citrus fruit and distinct Watervale floral and perfume. On the palate it

displays intense lemons and limes, and the persistent fruit flavour is balanced

by a refreshing mineral acidity. This wine can be enjoyed in its youth for its

wonderful purity and intensity of flavours.

FRANCE
Thomas Barton – Graves 2005                                               €29.00

White Bordeaux wine made from 55% Semillion providing structure and

45% Sauvignon Blanc contributing freshness and fruitiness. This elegant

wine has a complex nose featuring citrus and white fruit, with mineral and

well-integrated oaky overtones. It has a great balance and good acidity

which gives the wine a long aftertaste.

ITALY
Folonari – Pinot Grigio 2006                                                  €25.75
Folonari has a nice bright white colour with dominant green apple and lemon

undertone aromas. The taste has strong green apples but finishes with a light

almond and cucumber flavour. This wine is light, crisp, refreshing and fruity

SPAIN

Condesa de Leganza – Viura                                                 €25.50

Fresh citric fruits are evident on the nose and the palate is lively but structured,

with slightly more depth of flavour containing citrus and apple. This is an excellent introduction to wines from La Mancha and perfectly illustrates what can be

achieved; it is also good value for money. Easy drinking wine good on its own. Matches well with simple chicken dishes, salads and fish.

FRANCE

Thomas Barton – Sauternes 2005                                          €38.00

Sauternes is a legendary sweet wine whose unique microclimate accounts

for its great complexity and rich, smooth texture. It’s made using 80% Semillion

and 20% Sauvignon Blanc grapes. The beautiful bouquet displays overtones

of honey, tropical fruit, apricot and orange marmalade. Intense, full-bodied,

and simply irresistible on the palate, this wine is perfectly balanced and

wonderfully fresh. Serve it as an aperitif or with cheese and desserts.

AUSTRALIA

Jacob’s Creek – Chardonnay Pinot Noir                                    €35.00

Citrus and toasted cashew nut flavors of Chardonnay are married to the

fresh attractive bread crust characters of Pinot Noir. Extended lees contact

has added creaminess and depth of flavour. The wine finishes soft, crisp and clean.

RED WINES

HOUSE WINE
Man Vintners – South Africa - Shiraz 2005                              €20.90
Hand harvested grapes. Aromas of ripe plum and spices, mouth-filling

sweet red-berry flavours and gentle tannins characterize this wine.

Serve at a cool room temperature.

AUSTRALIA

St. Hallett Faith – Barossa – Shiraz 2004                                €30.00

Faith's vibrant yet dense purple hue hints at the generosity of fruit within.

The wine derives exuberant raspberry, cherry and spice flavours from

vineyards in the southern part of the Barossa Valley and pepper from its

Eden Valley component. The wine is matured for 12-15 months in American

and French oak, the former matching the juicy fruit succulence of the

Barossa Valley fruit and the latter suiting the peppery Eden Valley fruit.

Jamiesons Run – Cabernet Shiraz Merlot 2003                          €29.50

The Jamiesons Run Coonawarra Cabernet Shiraz Merlot is velvet red with

crimson hues. An abundance of dark plum, cherry and blackberry fruit,

with spice and cedary oak are present on the nose. These intense aromas

are enhanced by the subtle use of French and American oak. This smooth,

medium bodied wine is rich and silky, bursting with berry fruit, chocolate and

spice characters.

FRANCE
Thomas Barton – Saint-Emilion 2005                                       €35.00
This Saint-Emillion is made of 80% Merlot and 20% Cabernet Franc grapes

thus it displays characteristic Merlot aromas. Its lovely bouquet is dominated

by black cherry and red berry fruit mingled with touches of spice, liquorice and menthol.


ITALY
Conti Serristori – Chianti 2006                                               €25.00

This classic Chianti is ruby coloured and full of aromas of red fruit with soft oak.

It’s a warm and comforting wine with a cherry finish and well balanced with good concentrated fruit flavours.

SPAIN
Condesa de Leganza – Crianza 2003                                       €25.50

100% Tempranillo grapes has been used for this deep garnet red with purple

tones red wine. It’s has a medium body and very smooth with plum, cherry

and a mild oak to round it out. The bouquet is soft red fruits, spice and earthy.

The palate is round, expressive ripe fruit with fine tannins and a soft dryness.

Well-defined flavor with an elegant finish.
